16i, a Cheltenham-based digital design agency, has launched a Digital Asset Management system (DAM), which gives brands anytime, anywhere access to their digital assets via a single portal – without the need to be in the office or connected to the company server.

The new offering enables businesses to easily manage and share their digital assets such as electronic documents, data, imagery, emails, spreadsheets and more from a centralised portal, with branded templates meaning organisations that use it can ensure continuity of branding.

Statistics demonstrate that a DAM system helps provide 97% brand consistency, while also maximising employee time with a 62% reduction in search times, as it removes unnecessary file searches.

The DAM system is a new development for 16i, and enables them to offer an enhanced service to existing clients and a more attractive one to prospective clients.

Alex Clough, the managing director of 16i, said: “The beauty of a Digital Asset Management system is that it brings everything together in one easily accessible place, which streamlines processes and allows for greater brand continuity.”

He added: “It’s the first time we’ve implemented a system of its kind but it’s something that will offer real benefit to our current clients, while offering an additional attraction for potential clients to use our services. We’re delighted to be able to provide it going forward and have already seen a lot of interest in its uptake.”

97% brand consistency is achieved thanks to the ability to group best-practise brand assets and guidelines in one central place, which helps companies stay on brand due to the open visibility of up-to-date logos, images and marketing materials. The fact they’re accessible outside of the office and while unconnected to the company server reinforces this consistency.

A 62% reduction in search times is achieved through faceted, predictive search and simple filtering which allows for important documents to be instantly available at users’ fingertips.

Other benefits include the quick ability to upload files, while providing download restrictions on certain assets and users. Sharing documents and information is also made easier, with colleagues and external agencies able to access assets through invitations to view folders and individual items via URL or email.

The differentiating factor of 16i’s offering is that there’s no initial setup fee, but rather a monthly fee making it a much more cost effective way of managing a brand.

Alex Clough concluded: “By waiving a setup fee, we’re making our DAM system more accessible to more clients. A monthly retained fee is a much more cost effective approach to ensuring your brand is managed efficiently over time, and avoids the need to make an expensive initial outlay, something which can often be off putting to smaller businesses.”
